Outstanding Corporation Award
Awarded to one New York and one DC WPEO Corporate Sponsor
The Outstanding Corporation Award recognizes a WPEO Corporate Sponsor that has contributed to the WPEO, has supported other women in business and has developed innovative resources and initiatives for supplier diversity
Criteria The Corporation receiving this award will be recognized for the following:
- Corporation is in good standing as a sponsor of the WPEO
- Corporation has or is currently doing or has previously done work with a WPEO certified WBE
- Corporation provides internal resources and support to WBE community
- Corporation has actively attended and participated in WPEO events & programs
- Corporation demonstrates involvement with the WPEO (volunteer service, in kind support, event sponsorship, committee participation, panelist contribution etc.)
WPEO Star Award
Awarded to one New York and one DC WPEO WBE
The Outstanding WBE Award recognizes a certified woman owned business that has contributed to WPEO, has supported other women in business and has developed innovative solutions to doing business with Corporations. The Outstanding WBE Award is given annually at our Awards Breakfast celebration in March to a company, not an individual, that meets the following criteria:
- WBE has a current WBENC certification that was issued through WPEO-NY or WPEO-DC
- WBE has previously or is currently doing business with a WBENC Corporate Sponsor and has participated in the Done Deals™ Program
- WBE utilizes innovative solutions in leveraging WBENC Certification
- WBE has actively attended and participated in WBE events & programs
- WBE demonstrates involvement with the WPEO (volunteer service, in kind support, event sponsorship, committee participation, panelist contribution etc.)
- WBE actively supports fellow WBEs
Outstanding Women's Business Advocate Award
Open to New York and DC WBEs or Corporate Sponsors, one overall award
The Outstanding Women's Business Advocate Award recognizes an individual that has contributed to the WPEO and has supported other women in business
Criteria The Outstanding Women's Business Advocate is selected based on the following criteria:
- Involvement with WPEO
- Significant Contributions to WPEO (this can be in time, finances, in kind contributions, expertise etc.)
- Contributions to women owned businesses
Award Winners will receive:
- Recognition at WPEO's annual Awards Breakfast in March, attended by 500+ people and within the press and marketing materials surrounding the event
- Recognition as awardees in WPEO marketing materials distributed to over 3,000 people
- Participation on Awards Committees
- Additionally, Outstanding WBE Winners will have the opportunity to take the national stage in March as the WBENC Star, recognized at the Annual Salute to Women Business Owners. The WBENC Star award allows you to highlight an individual owner of the Outstanding WBE company
Corporate Leadership Award
There are two Corporate Leadership Awards given out. The first is to the Corporation that submits the highest cumulative value of contracts signed with WPEO WBEs during the challenge period. The second is to the Corporation that submits the most Done Deals with WPEO-certified WBEs.
WBE Partnership Award
WPEO WBE that reports the most Done Deals with other WBENC-certified WBEs.
WBE Leadership Award
WPEO WBE that reports the most Done Deals with other WBENC-certified WBEs and local WPEO (NY or DC) Sponsors.
Access New York City Award
WPEO WBE that reports the most Done Deals with the City of New York.
Access New York State Award
WPEO WBE that reports the most Done Deals with the State of New York.
Access New Jersey Award
WPEO WBE that reports the most Done Deals with the State of New Jersey.
Access Virginia Award
WPEO WBE that reports the most Done Deals with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
**NOTE**
No WBE will receive the same award for any two consecutive years
