VALIDATION
- The certification is valid for a period of one year, at which time you must submit a recertification application, affidavit, and some additional documents such as updated tax returns and financials to ensure the continuity of your certified status.

FEE
- An on-site visit is conducted initially and every third year, at a minimum. The processing fee for re-certification is $400 and non-refundable.

TIMELINESS
- Recertification takes up to 90 days to process; therefore, it is recommended that WBEs begin the process at least 75 days prior to their expiration date. Failure to recertify in timely manner could result in your status becoming expired and loss of business opportunities.
STEPS FOR RECERTIFICATION

Gather the required documents that are listed in the Recertification email
- Log into WBENCLink with your company's user ID and password and complete the recertification form
- WBENC has included UNSPSC codes along with NAICS codes to the online application and you can look up codes that correspond with your company here: www.unspsc.org
- Have the company owner sign and notarize the sworn affidavit
- Recertification fee made payable to your assigned Regional Partner Organization (WPEO-NY; WPEO-DC)
- Mail your paperwork to the address listed in your the email using Certified Mail, UPS or FedEx to your assigned Regional Partner Organization
