Debbie Faraone, The Elements
2003 Outstanding WBE DC region
Debbie Faraone founded The Elements in 1991, based on
her perception of an unfilled need in the market for promotional
gifts that could be both unique and of high quality.
A seasoned marketing professional, Faraone rose rapidly in
the Sheraton Hotel chain from managing individual accounts
to Director of Sales. From the Sheraton she moved to Inter-Continental
Hotels, where she managed a multi million dollar advertising
budget. In addition to serving on the company's Executive
Committee, her innovative marketing strategies helped generate
some 26 million dollars in room and food revenues during the
company's first year of operation.
Faraone's creativity, marketing savvy, and connoisseur's
eye for specialty art and gifts allow her to bring a distinctive
personality to promotional campaigns. The sensitivity she
brings to the multiple requirements of niche marketing and
company reward programs enables The Elements to bring new
and different products to their clients' programs.
With fourteen of her twenty years of professional marketing
experience spent in management, Ms. Faraone knows what it
takes to make a business run successfully, and how to make
a lasting impression in the marketplace. She continually improves
The Elements' base of products and services to anticipate
the needs of her existing and future clients.
Ms. Faraone is committed to strengthening the impact of women-owned
businesses both here and abroad. She has the distinction of
sitting on the Certification Committee for the Women's Business
Enterprise National Council, organizational sponsor of a nationwide
certification program for women-owned businesses. Companies
that meet their stringent standards are put in contact with
Fortune 500 companies looking for quality products and services.
Her past activities have included: serving on the Board of
Directors of the Women Presidents Educational Organization;
serving as Chair of the Women's Enterprise Leadership Forum;
and membership in the Women's Presidents' Organization.
